Start with checking whether it is legal or not to own a monkey as a pet in your state. Next, ensure you can spend the minimum upkeep cost which includes diet, medication, and shelter. Lastly, look for a reliable source be it a pet store, online breeders, or animal rescue center to get one.

That is it, with these basics covered you are ready to be a proud owner of a finger monkey.

      Hi there,

This blog is dedicated to finger monkey not capuchin monkey. I would recommend you to check out your local pet store, or maybe through an online breeder to get one. However, be aware of scam sellers on the net. If these options are not suitable for you, try your luck at the nearby animal rescue center. Most importantly, check whether it is legal or not to own one in your state with relevant authorities.

Darleen is no longer active in this community. He might have found a new home for the capuchin baby monkey. So, I recommend you both to look for alternate options respectively. Also, try your luck at a local animal rescue center before buying one.

We know the feeling of missing a finger monkey pet as you had for your squeaky. It is sometimes hard to forget, but it is part and parcel of the life. But, then again we appreciate your kind concern to raise a new one. It shows real character to care for these little cuties.

Coming back to your question, we do not sell any finger monkeys but provide information and latest news about them in this blog. However, what we can do is pass along your e-mail to some of the reputable sellers we know of so you could discuss with them and come to an agreement. Remember, we are not associated with any of these sellers, and you are buying at your own risk.

      Hi Melody,

It is actually a nice idea to buy a finger monkey at this stage as your youngest one is grown up and mature enough to live together with a primate. In fact, it will be harder if your son or daughter is very young or newborn because finger monkeys aggressive nature may harm them without proper knowledge about them.

About the legality question, have you already checked with your local authorities? Or maybe try to contact pet associations in that area and try to get expert advises. Hopefully, someone in this community will help you out. Fingers crossed. We will also check up with a few of our friends and revert back to you should we have any updates.
